What CGPulse checks
A resource passes this rule when publicNetworkAccess must equal Disabled. Anything else is reported as a finding with the evaluated property value attached as evidence.
How to fix it
Disable public network access to prevent unauthorized internet exposure. In Azure Portal: Web PubSub > Networking > set Public network access to Disabled. See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-web-pubsub/howto-secure-network-access-control
Careful: Disabling public access requires a Private Endpoint for connectivity. Ensure private endpoint is configured first
CLI
az webpubsub update --ids "{id}" --set publicNetworkAccess=DisabledTerraform
# WARNING: Ensure a private endpoint is configured before disabling public access
resource "azurerm_web_pubsub" "{name}" {
name = "{name}"
resource_group_name = "{rg}"
location = var.location
sku = "Standard_S1"
capacity = 1
public_network_access_enabled = false
}
