What CGPulse checks
A resource passes this rule when publicNetworkAccess must equal Disabled. Anything else is reported as a finding with the evaluated property value attached as evidence.
How to fix it
Disable public network access to prevent unauthorized internet exposure. In Azure Portal: Resource > Networking > set Public network access to Disabled. See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/security/fundamentals/network-best-practices
Careful: Disabling public access blocks all portal and API access not using private endpoints
CLI
az resource update --ids "{id}" --set properties.publicNetworkAccess=DisabledTerraform
resource "azurerm_purview_account" "{name}" {
name = "{name}"
resource_group_name = "{rg}"
location = var.location
public_network_enabled = false
identity {
type = "SystemAssigned"
}
}
