What CGPulse checks
A resource passes this rule when publicNetworkAccess must equal Disabled. Anything else is reported as a finding with the evaluated property value attached as evidence.
How to fix it
Disable public network access to prevent unauthorized internet exposure. In Azure Portal: PostgreSQL Flexible Server > Networking > set Public network access to Disabled. See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/flexible-server/concepts-networking
Careful: Disabling public access blocks all connections not using VNet integration or private endpoints
CLI
az postgres flexible-server update --ids "{id}" --public-access DisabledTerraform
resource "azurerm_postgresql_flexible_server" "{name}" {
name = "{name}"
resource_group_name = "{rg}"
location = var.location
version = "16"
sku_name = "B_Standard_B1ms"
public_network_access_enabled = false
}
