What CGPulse checks
A resource passes this rule when publicNetworkAccess must equal Disabled. Anything else is reported as a finding with the evaluated property value attached as evidence.
How to fix it
Disable public network access to prevent unauthorized internet exposure. In Azure Portal: IoT Hub > Networking > set Public network access to Disabled. See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-hub/iot-hub-public-network-access
Careful: Disabling public access blocks all connections not routed through private endpoints
CLI
az iot hub update --ids "{id}" --set properties.publicNetworkAccess=DisabledTerraform
resource "azurerm_iothub" "{name}" {
name = "{name}"
resource_group_name = "{rg}"
location = var.location
public_network_access_enabled = false
sku {
name = "S1"
capacity = 1
}
}
