What CGPulse checks
A resource passes this rule when artifactStore.encryptionKey must be set true. Anything else is reported as a finding with the evaluated property value attached as evidence.
How to fix it
Configure a customer-managed KMS key for the artifact store to encrypt pipeline artifacts at rest. In AWS Console: CodePipeline > Settings > Edit > configure encryption key. See: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codepipeline/latest/userguide/S3-artifact-encryption.html
Terraform
resource "aws_codepipeline" "{name}" {
artifact_store {
encryption_key {
id = aws_kms_key.{name}.arn
type = "KMS"
}
}
}
